Mobile computinghas hit the airwaves by storm. As more and more people get hold of enhanced mobile phones (a ‘cell’ phone is soooo 90′s), more and more people use their new found mobile friend to browse away the hours on the morning train or bus. Why not get YOUR site ‘mobilized’?

If you have a ‘self-hosted’ wordpress blog, it is no harder than installing a new plugin that was recently released. If you want to see it in action, simply click on the link in the top right corner of the sidebar where it says “Switch to our Mobile Site”. I know it may not be near as cool as our full fledged blog with all the great graphics, but when you are looking at goin’ mobile’ you need to keep your site clean and streamlined. The lighter the better.

Now, if you want to find out more about getting your site into the mobile world, there is a free report about it and if you are ready to jump into the airwaves full force (it really IS pretty simple and easy to do – not to mention many of the tools listed in the manual are FREE!) you can grab your copy of our Mobile Manual today and have your mobile site up and running in about ten minutes (even if it is a ‘static HTML or PHP website!).

If you use Twitter on the web by itself there’s already a
lot of things that you can do to promote your business.
However there are several other ways that you can enhance
your Twitter experience. After reading this article, you’ll
learn of 6 ways that you can enhance your Twitter
experience.

1. Use Twitter in combination with other networking
sites

This is absolutely critical. That is why it is listed
first. You should never put all your eggs in the same
basket. What if something happens to Twitter? What if it’s
down for maintenance? What if there are just too many
tweeps on at once and you keep seeing the fail whale (that’s
what happens when you can’t load twiter)? There is a
service called tweetake,
which allows you to download your followers, favorites,
tweet
s, dms, everything you
need to talk to your Twitter family outside of Twitter. I
suggest you download this file from tweetake daily. Another thing
you should do is invite your friends to join you on Facebook
or LinkedIn. I recommend putting your Facebook profile on
your Twitter page as your website. That way when people
follow you on Twitter, they’ll go right to your Facebook
page and follow you there too. Find an email address for
your Twitter posse so you can send emails to them. Don’t
send them commercial messages unless they sign up for your
email list. That’s considered spam. You can send them
messages that you’d send to your friends. It’s great to
email your Twitter friends information that will help them
with their business. They’ll be extremely grateful to you
for sending them wondeful information and it will seem more
personal because you sent it right to them instead of
blasting it to the whole Twitterverse!

2. Use Twitter +twitwall to market your telecalls.

Twitwall is an excellent service to use to market your
telecalls. Every Twitter user gets a twitwall. You’d use
your twitwall when you have things that are more than 140
characters to post. You can use your twitwall to promote
your telecalls very easily. You’d just post the relevant
information to the twitwall and then retweet it. Important: Be sure
to include the words please retweet in the headline when you
post information about your telecall. Even though twitwall
makes it easy for people to retweet your information, they
won’t do it unless you tell them to most of the time.

3. Twitter + Hashtag + tweetchat = PARTY!

Another great way to get people talking about you and your
business is to hold a Twitter party! Twitter parties are
very easy to set up. All you have to do is create a hashtag
for your party. Basically a hashtag acts a tracker for your
party. Once you decide on a hashtag, next pick a date and a
time. Then start telling everyone that’s in your Twitter
family about your party and ask them to retweet the
information for you. On the day of the party you can use
tweetchat
to follow
everything everyone is saying about the party. Tweetchat is
awesome because once you go to the website and log in, it
automatically inserts the hashtag and tells you how many
characters you have left to
tweet
with. It also allows you to momentarily stop the
chat within the chat room so you can scroll back and see
what was said before you enter the room. It’s important to
both participate in and throw Twitter parties because it’s a
great way to get the word out about your business and you
can meet new people that are interested in the same things
that you are interested in.

Twitter is a great tool to use to drive traffic to your
website. These things that I’ve mentioned will only improve
the amount and quality of the traffic you get to your
website.

Did you know that you could use Twitter to be found in the
search engines? That’s correct. Twitter is for more than
just talking to your friends about what you are eating for
dinner. Simply by answering the seemingly pointless
question of “Whatcha doin’?”, you can help your website be
found on the search engines.

Well, you might ask; how can I use Twitter to be found on
the search engines like Google? That’s a great question. I’m
so glad you asked that.

Many people wonder how they’re going to do that when they
sign up to join Twitter. Many people can’t believe that all
they have to do is type in the answer to a simple question
and they’ll be found on the search engines. In this article
you’ll discover ways you can use Twitter to help your
website be found in the search engines.

One way that you can use your social media profile to be
found is to populate your profile with the keywords you wish
to be found in.

For example, if you are a virtual assistant, you want people
to see the word virtual assistant in your profile. If you’re
a writer, be sure you put the word writer in your profile.
The more words related to what you do, the easier it will be
for the people searching for you to find you. Also, if you
have a particular niche that you serve, be certain to
include that niche in your profile as well. People looking
for that niche will use that keyword in their search. Also
be sure to include your website url in your profile.
Ideally this will be some type of opt in list so you can
collect people’s email address. This is important because
you still want to be able to connect with these people
should something bad happen to Twitter.

Additionally you want to make sure that the information you
are posting to your profile is information that is relevant
to your niche. In other words, if you write for small
businesses, be sure to post information related to small
business. This helps you to be seen as an authority figure
in your subject matter or area of expertise. Also, this
type of information gets
retweeted
a lot. If at all possible, post relevant
resources and content on your website and then post the link
to that content on Twitter. That is a great way to get your
website noticed by the search engine.

Twitter is an outstanding tool to use to get your website
found in the search engines. Follow the steps mentioned
above and you’ll be well on your way to being a Twitter rock
star! Oh yeah, and you’ll be getting lots and lots of
search engine love, too.
